The Clubhouse at The Tides Beach Club is the hub of activity. Upstairs is a veranda with a panoramic view over this pool and to the sandy shore of the Gulf of Mexico. Also there is a large reception/party room, office, conference room and snack bar. On the lower level is the complete excercise/massage/fitness center, a game room, a large TV area and the Cafe where you can order for poolside or for a party.

The pool seems to run into the sea. Summertime, hamburgers might be cooking at the tiki hut. Swim meets and other pool activities go on then, too.

Swing in a hammock or walk along the beach. Forget the real world for a little while. Just feel the warmth of the Florida sun.

This is just one corner of the great reception room on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse. The snack bar is under the blue and white striped canopy. This room is used for condominium and private parties.

The Tides Beach Club was built on the grounds of the venerable Tide Bath Club which was torn down. Many locals remember, as I do, being brought to the Tides by my grandmother as a child to swim and have lunch. The old Bath Club had beach cabanas where you could keep your things, find relief from the sun, and be a beachside center of activity. This new Beach Club has incorporated the idea. Cabanas are sold seperately and many are decorated with tropical scenes. Some have refrigerators, TV's, computers & faxes or picnic equipment. Everyone uses theirs differently. They are a lot of fun.

Across Gulf Blvd. from the Tides Beach Club are many convenient stores and restaurants. Several clothing shops, dry cleaners, a gourmet coffee house, a new restaurant, a bed & breakfast - all within steps.

The Tides Beach Club is comprised of 6 condominium buildings with a clubhouse, which you see. Two buildings look to the gulf over the pool area, while four other face the gulf directly. The street side is gated with security while the beach side opens right onto the sand. From here you can walk for miles north or south.

The spa is wonderful. At night you can look up and see the stars while soaking. Night lights line the pathways from the condos to the pools and spa.

The spa area is like an oasis - surrounded by tall palm trees. And only steps to the sand.
